FAQs

how long does it take to make one of my larger works?

Each artwork is unique. Although my process is the same for each, timing depends on the size, the details I include and the colour and finish I intend using in my glazes. My large artworks usually take around 4-6wks to complete, My smaller works around 1-2wks.

what sort of glazes do I use and are they food safe?

I use a variety of Glazes for my artworks, some are my own recipes and some are commercial glazes. Glazes are a complex fusion of minerals, oxides, and pigments that interact during firing to create depth, texture, and a dynamic range of colors and finishes. For decorative artworks that may be used for food, I prefer to use commercial glazes so I know they are safe and non-toxic.

shipping

On my larger artworks, I do not charge for shipping (either domestically or internationally). For peace of mind, all shipments are insured to ensure your investment is covered should an artwork get damaged in transit.

I live in a remote area, shipping can take a little longer than shipping from metropolitan areas. For domestic shipping, please allow 2 to 3 Weeks, for international shipping please allow 4 Weeks.

the item I wanted is sold, can I make another one?

No two artworks are ever the same. If you see something that has sold and you’d like to request one similar you can use the commission form to make a request. I will not make another one exactly the same as my works are sold as unique artworks.

can i commission an artwork?

Yes, please see my commission form and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible with a response.

can i return an artwork?

All artwork sales are final. I do not refund for a change of mind. I do make allowances for exceptional circumstances or if there is a structural flaw that was not evident after the final firing.
